Supported Employment Specialist /CIS

Job Summary:

The incumbent will develop community job sites and natural supports for individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities.

DS Community Integration Specialists (CIS) provide services and support to persons with developmental disabilities. CIS helps promote the development and growth of practical life skills, including self-advocacy, socialization, and the adaptive skills necessary to reside successfully in community-based settings. CIS also provides in-home services and supports to children with developmental disabilities. In-home CIS staff would be provided ongoing training and support.

Education/Experience

Required:  High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred:  High school diploma or equivalent with two years’ relevant experience with job supports, community supports, training techniques, and/or local resources.

License/Certifications

Required:  Valid driver’s license, current automobile registration and current automobile insurance
