Job Summary

 

Lamoille County Mental Health Services Home Provider program is designed to keep individuals with Intellectual Disabilities or Autism in the community while providing a high quality of care and the necessary support for the individual to be successful in the community setting. Our program utilizes caregivers who want to share their homes with individuals who need assistance with daily living. Home providers work with their individuals 365 days a year and are compensated with a tax-free stipend, room, and board monthly payment, and have respite funding to allow the individual and home provider breaks.

 

Current hiring need:

78 year-old woman looking for Home Provider to live with.  This woman ambulates independently with a walker, she requires an accessible home on the first floor.  Would require support with transportation to medical appointments and support with medical oversight. This woman is a retired logger and enjoys crafts, socializing and visiting, and sharing her many stories!  She has a small 15 year old emotional support dog.  The ideal candidate will be patient, compassionate, good sense of humor and be able to roll with sarcasm, and able to work well productively within a Team setting.  A tax-free stipend, respite budget and monthly room and board are also included.
