Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Program: Behavioral Health

Hours: Part-Time

Location: Morrisville

Job Summary

Diagnoses and treats patients with mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders as described below.  Provides services face to face, through telehealth from LCMHS offices, and/or from another remote location.  Patients served to include children and adults, many of who may be persons with severe psychiatric challenges.

Education/Experience

Required:  Master’s Degree or doctorate from an accredited school of nursing plus postgraduate certification and license.

Knowledge of substance use treatment and intellectual disabilities care.

 

License/Certifications

Required:  Valid Vermont-issued license and board certification to practice as a psychiatric nurse practitioner; maintenance of certification as a psychiatric nurse practitioner.  Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and personal vehicle with current registration, state inspection, and appropriate insurance.
