Behavioral Health Director
Job Summary
The Behavioral Health Director is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Agency’s adult mental health programs, including Adult Outpatient, Community Rehabilitation and Treatment; residential facilities, and Emergency Services. The Behavioral Health Director assures that the Agency is providing quality programs, supports, and services to consumers. The BH Director may need to respond to emergency needs after hours or during the weekend.

Education/Experience
Required: Master’s degree in a related field and 3 to 5 years of middle or senior management experience; knowledge and experience in treating adults with mental illness and emotional, personality, or behavioral disorders.
Preferred: Master’s degree in a related field and 5-10 years of middle or senior management; knowledge and experience in treating adults with mental illness and emotional, personality, or behavioral disorders. Some experience in delivery of medical/psychiatric services or in a hospital environment is a plus.
License/Certifications
Required: Vermont license as LCMHC, LICSW, or Psychologist—Master with a minimum of 5 years’ experience.
