Assistant Facilities Manager

Program: Administration

Hours: Full-Time

Location: Morrisville

 

Job Summary:

Performs building and grounds duties as assigned and needed.  This will include outdoor maintenance, snow removal, general carpentry, painting, facility disinfection/cleaning, and other duties as assigned.  The incumbent will interact with management, staff, business units, and handle customer relationships.

Education/Experience:

Required:  High School Diploma and 3 or more years experience in property management. Experience in the functioning of HVAC systems, building automation, and direct digital controls systems to include the maintenance and operation of boilers, heat exchangers, heat pumps, and refrigeration systems.

Preferred: Experience similar to above for 5 years or more.

License/Certifications

Required:  Valid drivers’ license

Preferred:  certificate of training in specific vocational areas such as welding, HVAC, or others.

 

Essential Functions:

1.      Develops positive internal and external relationships by effectively representing Agency management to staff, other organizations, and state and federal agencies.

2.       Ensure regular maintenance to company vehicles is performed.

3.      Perform light building and grounds maintenance as instructed by the Facilities Manager, including painting, landscaping, and other tasks. 

4.      Facility disinfection/cleaning as needed.

5.      Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Physical Demands:

The use of handheld tools is a regular function of the role.   The employee is frequently required to communicate with consumers and co-workers.  The employee is also required to stand, scale ladders, and safely use power tools and equipment. The employee is occasionally required to lift up to 100 pounds.
