Alcohol & Substance Awareness Program
Non-medical, short-term detox for people in crisis due to alcohol or other drug incapacitation:
- Client stays are supervised by trained ASAP team members
- All stays are voluntary
- Must meet simple ASAP guidelines and rules
Alternative to jail stay (if referred by law enforcement)
Safe place for incapacitated people to stay away from alcohol & other drugs
Self-referrals accepted:
- If your own or someones else's alcohol or other drug use is leading toward domestic conflict right now an ASAP stay can give you time for "sobering up" and cooling off
- Must get safe, sober transport to ASAP
Trained ASAP team works with clients during their stay:
- Encourage thinking about ending substance abuse/misuse
- Discuss possible recovery action plans
- Identify other personal and/or family problems
- Help arrange for transportation home when discharged
Additional follow-up services available including:
- Short term case management
- Follow-up support and other motivational work with clients
Substance abuse problems are never simple. Call any time for assistance in finding help with questions such as:
- Information for people about their own or someone else's alcohol or other drug abuse/misuse
- Substance abuse prevention and recovery resources
- Information about other services and programs that can help with personal and family problems

- Normal office hours are Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm
